on the shoulders of a giant

Anyone who knows me at all knows about my love of all things tiny. Teeny tiny. Itsy bitsy. Itty-bitty. Little bitty.

Wee.

This is not that.

This is larger than life. Magnificent, yes? And so fun! Big fun!

where to go shopping

Oh, the joys of virtual shopping sprees! It's fun to fill up a virtual shopping cart with anything that suits your current whim, and when you're done, you can just click it all away. It sure beats having to ditch a real shopping cart in an actual store!

Here's my latest cartload, all from Furbish (and most of it VERY affordable!):

That fabric!!

Clackity-clack bracelets

I'd love to see this with my antique Blue Willow

These, too
And these!

This is SOAP!

These nubbly dots would be a fidgeter's dream

WANT!

Hello, Miss Ugly!

simply didn't know where to go shopping.

the world is but a canvas

I love a salon wall.  I'm not "over" them. They're not a trend, they're a classic.

Paintings were first hung salon-style in the 1600s for exhibits at the French Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture.

From Wikipedia: "The Salon exhibited paintings floor-to-ceiling and on every available inch of space. The jostling of artwork became the subject of many other paintings, including Pietro Antonio Martini's Salon of 1785," (below).

Though the popularity of this look may wax and wane, there's no reason to think it's going to be truly out of fashion any time soon...

This world is but a canvas to our imagination.

cleaving the murk

I heard the peepers last night when I took the dogs out. The daffodils have sent up shoots, and the air, while still cold, is cold-tinged-with-warm, instead of warm-tinged-with-cold.

I don't care what the calendar, the almanac, or the weathermen say...Spring is here.

but one skein of geese,
cleaving the murk of March thaw,
is the Spring.
