Nothing makes me cry more than a sad dog. All they want from us is love. And a little something to eat. And what do they give us in return? Unconditional, undeniable, unflinching LOVE and a fierce friend for life. I see dogs as one of the finest creatures on earth. I have three and would take every one of the above if I could.

K, that's one of my favorite quotes! I've dedicated my life to dogs (and cats) - I live with 6 rescued JRTs, operated a JRT rescue for several years (200 dogs through our house in 1 year!!) and I'm Shelter Manager at a large private non-profit animal shelter. Every day I look at their faces and marvel at how resiliant they are, and at the same time I wish they didn't need to be. The dogs I see daily humble me; I agree, they aer among the finest creatures on earth.
