We - humans - have got it all wrong. We're not superior. We're not so special. We don't have dominion over the planet and all its inhabitants - or rather, we shouldn't. We've underestimated our fellow travelers, and overestimated our importance in the grand scheme of things. We've got it all wrong.

I agree wholeheartedly. We (humans) completely underestimate our fellow travelers here on this planet with us. I think we (humans)should see ourselves as PART of the world we live in, as opposed to having dominion over it...
