infinitely flexible

We were scheduled for one night in Glasgow, but a tardy taxi driver turned one night into two. Tip: Always be willing to segue seamlessly to Plan B...

Glasgow, population 580,000 - Scotland's largest city, and the UK's largest retail center after London. Birthplace of Charles Rennie Macintosh (June 7, 1868 – December 10, 1928), Scottish architect, designer, watercolourist and sculptor. Macintosh was a designer in the Arts and Crafts movement and also the main exponent of Art Nouveau in the United Kingdom; he had a considerable influence on European design.

The SYHA hostel is in a quiet residential street...

...a short walk to Kelvingrove Park...
Even the abandoned buildings are lovely...

We were also quite close to the city center, shops, and The Willow Tea Roomdesigned by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1904, where we stopped for tea and scones.

Yes - tea and scones. Sweet, milky, buttery, creamy heaven.

Next stop: Stornoway!

Be infinitely flexible and constantly amazed.

I love it that you are there making photos, so that I don't have to...and then, you post them with a commentary to match.

Perfection!
